I have spent over 9 years in the visual effects industry, working as a compositor, matte painter and department supervisor. I have worked on numerous projects ranging from feature film to a groundbreaking internet series.

After growing up in rural central Texas I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in European History from Howard Payne University before returning to my artistic roots and securing an intern position in the graphics department of the Austin-based weekly, "The Austin Chronicle". Realizing then that my true passion lay in fx, I returned to school , studying 3d animation and compositing at Vancouver Film School in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

After graduating from VFS I threw the cat in the car (gently) and headed to LA where I was elated to be hired as an assistant matte painter at Digital Firepower in Hollywood, working on the film "Minority Report." Soon, I was offered a long term position at Custom Film Effects in Burbank as a junior compositor. During the five years I spent at Custom Film Effects I rose from junior compositor to department lead, helping to establish the newly founded digital department by creating work flow, aiding in designing a shot tracking system and creating compositing templates and scripts.

Since early 2007 I have been working freelance/project hire and have had the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects with numerous companies including After World in Santa Monica, Media Pro Studios in Romania and Sandbox FX in Massachusetts.

Aside from Visual Effects, in my spare time I enjoy experimenting with photography, writing plays, riding my bicycle down country roads and redesigning my website over and over.
